Two women have been arrested for allegations of burning several toddlers with a hot glue gun at a Chicago daycare which was reportedly caught on camera earlier this month.
Lizandra Cosme, of the Humboldt Park neighborhood, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 17 and charged with five counts of aggravated battery of a child under 13 years old causing great bodily harm, reported the Chicago Sun Times, citing police.
The 32-year-old woman “caused injury” to three girls and two boys, all of whom are 2 years old, on Dec. 1, at the Children’s Learning Place in the 3100 block of West Fullerton, according to police. It was not clear how badly the children were hurt.
Another woman, Susana D. Gonzalez, 27, of Melrose Park was charged with five misdemeanor counts of causing the circumstances of child endangerment, reported the newspaper.
Both women were daycare workers at Children’s Learning Place on the Northwest Side.
