Original Message It's not hard to make delicious food, if you know what you are doing. I know there are other slow cooker recipe threads, but give me something gourmet. Here is what I am making (but I added the pearl onions, er, or will in a bit)

So dining for two (with a glass of wine left over from the bottle), cost approximately $4.00 each (not including the wine). Homemade, slow cooked, and smells amazing. Anyone with other suggestions that aren't just 'pulled pork' or ribs? Something classic, simple and elegant, and tasty not using anything but basic ingredients? I'm putting together a list to last us til the winter rains end.
Ethnic would be awesome. Tell me what your grandmother would make that isn't meat and taters.
