Original Message A buddy of mine is a marine biologist, and he says they are diving deeper than ever. So deep, in fact, that it is rewriting the their idea about how deep they can dive. They are not especially deep diving of whales, but they keep diving down around certain areas of the ocean. There is some noise - a pulse - coming from the deep ocean that is effecting these animals and they are showing strange behavior and becoming disoriented or seeming so. They blame it on oceanic sonar noise from human technologies, but it seems like the whales are responding to something. One whale attached with a tracking device dived 300 meters below any known blue whale dive, an they considered it a near fatal deep dive. Other whales have followed suit, but they have no idea why they are doing it.
