Original Message While I do not like McCain for past antics and this
Thread: John McCain convicted of treason and sentenced to death by firing squad, until he was pardoned by Nixon

In times of war, the enemy of my enemy is a friend.

The demonization of the National Rifle Association continues, as a cancer-stricken war hero who supports the organization is now being harassed by a kid using his celebrity to intimidate him.

David CAMERA Hogg took to Twitter to attack Vietnam War veteran and Sen. John McCain, who has taken donations from the National Rifle Association during his long career.

McCain is currently battling brain cancer, and has been out of the public eye recently, recovering from surgery and chemotherapy. His fight has earned him respect across the political spectrum. Even his political nemesis, Joe Biden, told his daughter Megan McCain during an appearance on “The View” how much he respects him and is praying for him.

Camera Hogg, however, had no problem attacking the man during his most vulnerable time. Camera Hogg and other gun control activists have attacked pro-NRA senators, notably Marco Rubio, who refused to criticize the organization. After a CNN host joined Hogg’s recent attack on Rubio, the network later came out and apologized, saying it mischaracterized Rubio’s stance, who supports background checks targeting felons and those with violent mental illness.

Here is Hogg’s out-of-nowhere tweet attacking McCain.

Why do you take so much money from the NRA?

Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg has confronted Senator John McCain on Twitter over his decision to accept more than $7.7 million from the National Rifle Association over his career.

Hogg, 17, who has become a leading gun-reform advocate since the Florida high school shooting in which 17 people died, tweeted McCain on Friday with the question: ‘Why do you take so much money from the NRA?’

The tweet was in response to McCain’s post about a redevelopment project in Phoenix, Arizona, and quickly racked up thousands of likes and re-tweets.

McCain, who is the number one recipient of NRA money in Congress according to the Center for Responsive Politics, has not responded to Hogg’s message.

The Republican, 81, was diagnosed last summer with glioblastoma, a form of aggressive brain cancer, and is currently recovering from chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

It is not known when he will return to Washington but his daughter, Meghan, said she was ‘cautiously optimistic’ it could be later this summer.

McCain has taken $7,740,521 from the NRA since joining Congress in 1983. The congressman who has received the second highest amount of money from the NRA is Richard Burr, at $6.9m, and in third place is Roy Blunt at $4.5m.

Hogg has turned the tragedy into a bit of celebrity, and has become the face of the gun control movement in the wake of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which he attended on the day of the shooting.

Hogg, a student a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, filmed students hiding from the gunman in their classrooms during the shooting on February 17.

He then became one of the leading voices of the gun control movement launched by these school-aged men and women.

The student recently got into a spat with Fox News host Laura Ingraham over her decision to mock him over a video in which he detailed the schools which did not accept him.

‘David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it,’ wrote Ingraham on Twitter.

Hogg was quick to respond to Ingraham’s tweet, sharing a list of a dozen advertisers and encouraging followers to immediately call them and ask them to drop Ingraham.

At least nine claim they have done just that.
