Ari Goldstein, the former president of the Temple’s Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, which has been suspended pending a sexual assault investigation, was charged with attempted rape, statutory sexual assault of a minor eight to 11 years younger, among other charges on Wednesday.
Philadelphia Police arrested Goldstein, a 21-year-old engineering student, on sexual assault charges, simple assault, indecent assault, unlawful restraint, witness intimidation and false imprisonment on Tuesday.
His bail is set at $2 million, and a preliminary hearing for the alleged assault, which took place in late February, will be held on May 31, according to court documents.
