[quote:Wharf Rat:MV8zODg0NzI0XzcwMDI0NjczX0E3NDRCNjlD] Random notes & observations Iowa does not allow capital punishment. God forbid, but if Mollie died at the hands of a third party, at least if they confess, they know they wouldn't be put to death. I consider this a positive factor in the ultimate resolution of this case What's the deal with Dalton Jack's mom? I admit to being just a tad curious, re: previous speculation (from FB) that she may be involved. Does she have a criminal history herself? Just wondering. Mollie's parents Do court records indicate why Mollie's mom & dad divorced? He lives in Oakland, CA, but rushed to Iowa to fight for his daughter. Was the divorce amicable? Did Mollie's mom ever date a man, who might have had a criminal history? Could this man's affections have been rebuffed, or noticed by Mollie's family? Sealed records of a minor, charges expunged This is pure speculation, but... Wonder how many Brooklyn residents may have committed sex crimes as a minor? Only relevant because, well, it certainly IS possible that a school-era peer of Mollies could have been convicted or rape, sexual assault, as a 13-16 year old, but had their records sealed. The I-80 corridor Hate to even go here, but....in the fourteen hours between ~7 pm and 10am next day when offically reported missing, a car going 60 mph could be about 850 miles away. In any given direction. So sad, but.... ...considering her Dad thinks she went willingly (impulsive road trip with fun friend?), perhaps she got a few hundred miles away before something went wrong. I still feel the lack of a body means there is hope.
Original Message
I’m headed to work right now, so I will add more to this later. However something stinks. I just was watching the press conference with the parents.
Not only did neither of them not show any emotion whatsoever, which is possible if they are in shock, still strange, but they were way too structured, and lacking any empathy whatsoever on camera. They also kept praising the media , Making sure people knew they thought the media was incredible.
Does anybody else find that strange? I will get back on here for the discussion in about an hour, just want to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!
Ps, I would be inconsolable if my child were missing. And again, people react differently to stressful situations but this just seems odd to me.
Be back soon!
