[quote:Lance Roseman From BC:MV8zODk5MzU5XzcwMjc2NjU0XzIxRDc4MzA5] Such, lets face it, bullshit. We have a local tranny to whom I loaned a friends Catalina to overwinter in. Since my buddy is gone for a year and can't afford moorage. Well the tranny got pirated (the motor on the boat is somewhat suspect so he needed help in case he needed to bring it in under sail to the new moorage). Left with a dingy and having to row to shore he found where the boat was. https://www.coastreporter.net/news/local-news/pepper-spray-christmas-come-to-gibsons-film-set-1.23414313 One of the 3 people who pirated is in this news article. Then the one remaining pirate sailed it to the Fraser and was spotted doing a drug deal and a tugboat crew confronted him, the tranny got down to the Fraser quickly and they towed to boat to its new moorage. That fookin tranny doesn't need a safe space! [/quote]

For the past two years, ever since its start in Vancouver, the Safe Place program has been making its way through the province, and now, it’s finally in Chilliwack.
Originating in Seattle, the Safe Place program offers members of the LGBTQ2S+ community shelter if they’re feeling at risk or unsafe. And not just any shelter, each Safe Place must be welcoming, safe, and have the ability to provide safety until the police can arrive.
