[quote:cosmicgypsy:MV8zOTAyMzA1XzcwMzM5NzY5Xzg4Mzk3NEI0] I live in the town at the base of the Sacramento Mts. - can't write the name of the town, GLP changes it to something fucked up - and I can see the towers of the observatory from where I live...I look at them everyday...heck, I had a blind date with the man who ran the observatory at the time (about three years ago). It was only one date, he was too uptight for me, and I don't know if he still lives up there. I wouldn't even know how to contact him. Heh, what I can tell you is that some months ago, early in the morning before the sun was up, I was on my back porch and I watched an HUGE "craft" lower down slowly into the mountains...and when I say "HUGE" I mean so large it likely wasn't anything of ours. If it was something of ours, then we are being lied to big time (although that wouldn't surprise me, either). I just stood there, smoking a cig, watching these lights go far and wide as it just lowered into the mountain range. It wasn't my first "craft" rodeo, but it sure as heck was my biggest. White Sands Missile Range isn't far at all from here, I travel through it for work almost daily, and I - and we - all know that there are underground bases and tunnels throughout all of the Range, this a large part of NM. When I travel past the area where the Missle Range headquarters are the temperature always drops by two to three degrees, and of course the radio doesn't work right, and it's a cell tower dead zone....heh, despite all the cell towers just a few miles away. That's the only reason I could think that there'd be that large of a "craft" in my area, being connected to the Range...and f'n setting down to boot! And now the observatory is in lock down....heh, the things that make one go 'hmmmm, ain't that interesting.' :ohyeah:
Happened Friday with no explanation. Currently: no reasons given yet, still no access has been allowed for those that live in Sunspot to their homes (people with no observatory affiliation). WTF is going on?!
