Cajun Navy's assistance was turned down by Pender county that was badly hit. Strange.
I wonder why?
That makes no sense. They are very good at what they do and they care about helping with no other motivation. They rescued thousands after Harvey, many in my neighborhood.
Yep, I don't understand it either.
This is our turf... Aye. Just what part of "our" turf is escaping you......
They don't want people helping people. "They" want us all totally dependent on "them" and not each other.
Cajun Navy is far, far, far braver & more efficient than either FEMA or the Red Cross (which actually charges the people it helps at high interest rates.) TX victims from the previous disaster said the local churches who were there from the start treated them far better, gave them personal care items (confiscated immediately by the Red Cross) and fed them higher quality food. Real issue is that provisions need to be made well in advance all across the USA to evacuate the disabled WITH their pets in times of disaster. I once called the State of NV and was told emergency services would offer rides to those without the means if tragedy ever struck. At least with the many casinos there's plenty of convention space for rescue operations. FL and other states need to offer the same.
Wait, the Red Cross confiscated personal items that were given out? Wth is wrong with that picture. That's stealing in my book. Thank God for people like the Cajun Navy who are doing this as good Samaritans and not for personal gain.
Major hurricane strength possible but uncertainty about landfall location. Florida Gulf coast keep by Wednesday!
