Original Message I should start by saying luckily no one died, but the driver, 17 year old Sophia Florsch is undergoing surgery for a fractured spine. One photographer had fractured facial bones and lacerations, and another had a liver laceration.

Im a huuuge race fan, and have almost never seen a crash this scary! This is the danger of a "street course" as event staff and spectators are literally inches away from the track. This is of course a freak accident but damn, pretty intense. My prayers go out to the drivers and photographers. And please dont make "girl" driver comments, we need more women in Motorsports.
