Original Message Apparently these large holes exist where there is no road or other way to emplace large drilling machinery, there is no evidence of movement of heavy equipment, nor is the soil removed anywhere nearby.

There are several images, and the text is written by someone for whom English is obviously a second language.

These openings remind me much of the holes left by sediment cores. It's as if some flying machine hovered, took a sediment core, and flew off.

Only guess I can come up with, anyway. In any event, no plausible explanation immediately presents itself.

From the end of 1980s a strange phenomena is happening in some Russian forests. People find strange, deep holes.

They appear in the dense forest, in the places you can’t get on the car or truck to bring any device to drill the ground. There is no any soil that should be taken from such deep holes is found.

On this pictures people go down to one of such holes but it just finishes with nothing. There are no any reasonable ideas on how these holes appear and what they are being used for.
