[quote:Cannabis Kills People:MV8zOTUzMjAxXzcxNDUyMjg1XzMxOEZDNUFB] [quote:SkinsUK:MV8zOTUzMjAxXzcxNDUwNjA0XzIzNTExRjYz] Op, stop taking your opiates. The witdrawal symptoms may open your eyes a little. Also, withdrawing from alcohol can kill. Why not write loads of threads about the harmful negativity of booze, and stop hating on the weed smokers? I used to smoke loads of weed. Daily. Yet the only negative inpact it had on my life was how much it cost me. I have also experienced alcoholism, nearly killed me and cost me virtually everything important to me. What im trying to understand is, why the constant threads on your views on weed? Why not concentrate your efforts on something like alcohol? A legal, devastating drug that has detroyed countless lives world-wide? Im not hating CKP. Its just that your hate for weed seems deep rooted, yet futile.
Why would I stop taking my meds when they help me to do basic things in less pain with virtually no side effects? I couldn't care about alcohol drinkers, if they want to damage their bodies legally then that's their right to do so.
A new study raises concerns that this rise in high-potency cannabis strains may also be increasing the risk that new users will develop cannabis use disorder.
Symptoms of cannabis use disorder — also known as marijuana use disorder — include cravings, withdrawal, lack of control, and negative effects on a person’s life.
According to the authors of the study, published Dec. 17 in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence, the average tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) level of cannabis in the United States increased from 3.5 percent in 1994 to 12.3 percent in 2012.
The researchers also found that young people who started using cannabis when the average national potency was higher were more likely to go on to develop one or more symptoms of cannabis use disorder within a year of use.
