[quote:Lowkey Cyberpunk:MV8zOTYyNTk1XzczMjQ2OTExX0JGNzg5MkU2] You know, I think that I'm at the point where all idioticy (Firefox won't even offer a completion) could break loose and I (along with those next to me) would be alright. For a few weeks at least. And those few weeks would buy me time to get ready for a longer haul. Plant, harvest, continue for as long as I want to be alive. Maybe have a surplus that I can share with my neighbors or sell for whatever passes as income. And I don't have a lending library but anyone who wants can browse through my library at leisure. My tool set isn't for lending but we can reach some kind of agreement I want to see others succeed. You just have to put some feeble effort out. The simple fact is that the more people around you that thrive in a WROL situation, the less that you have to accomplish yourself. Bring as many people as you can that want to live. Now, put this scenario in the fall and I'm far more strict on who soaks up any reserves that I might have. I'm looking at 6 months of winter to get through. I'm still willing to help, maybe you need labor, maybe I can spare seed, perhaps a romp through my library will give an answer. At your wit's end? Ask someone for help. You might find me, or someone like me. [/quote]

Continuation of another thread of wonderful people with the best ever ideas for practical prepping even for those with little money.
We discuss power outages including CME and EMP, heating and cooking methods, first aid, foods; we run disaster scenarios to see if we know what to do.
This is probably the only prepping thread a person would need, whether long-time prepper here to share, or newbie prepper here to learn and everyone in between.
