[quote:Pooka:MV8zOTYyNTk1XzczMzk2MjQ1X0ZBRkI1QTRG] [quote:Mkjeep:MV8zOTYyNTk1XzczMzk2MDMwX0M2NTRFQzY5] I’ve been bitten twice by recluses, I know the repercussions. One bite ate all the skin off my index finger knuckle joint before I went to the Er and got antibiotics. The other I caught quicker cause I realized what it was that bit me.
First and only brown recluse bite I've seen was on a woman's breast. She had been carrying wood, where they like to hang out. She didn't go immediately to the doctor, and it was a huge, huge wound. When she finally went, she had to go every day for antibiotic injections and repacking. The other one I didn't see, but was on a woman's thigh, described, and she let it go long enough to also be going to the doctor daily - same doctor as first one - for injections and repacking. Spider bites can be a very serious business, so I thank you again for reminding us to purchase protections from insects, spiders, and rodents. Might well become very important.
Continuation of another thread of wonderful people with the best ever ideas for practical prepping even for those with little money.
We discuss power outages including CME and EMP, heating and cooking methods, first aid, foods; we run disaster scenarios to see if we know what to do.
This is probably the only prepping thread a person would need, whether long-time prepper here to share, or newbie prepper here to learn and everyone in between.
