As long as there humans alive - Reincarnation cycle continues, and there is no escape from the physical world.

Yet this is exactly what they want to do, they want to escape the physical world which they see as a prison of the soul, a prison of torment and suffering.

Thus, they wish to escape the world and overcome the cycle of reincarnation.
They have realized they cant overcome the cycle, so the solution is just mass suicide humanity so there would be no one to reincarnate into.
