A combination of worn front end parts and tires with high road force contribute to a self sustaining front suspension cycle. Start with a thourghal inspection and a very healthy steering dampener. It's not just a dodge or jeep thing, Fords are notorious for it as well.
On a Jeep specifically, a loose or worn front trackbar is the first thing to check , aswell as front control arms. Tire wear /balance and rotations should be done regularly especially when lifted and running larger mud tires. Proper toe for front alignment should be checked aswell. A heavier new front steering stabilized tends to just mask an underlying problem. As you stated , worn front end parts are to be looked at. Worn Ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel hubs can all contribute to a death wobble. Although if newer on jeeps , that freakin front track bar tends to be a major contributor. Either not torqued to spec or if lifted , a bracket installed that doesn’t match up with drag link angle. Thanks for your help on here, just figured I’d throw in my two cents on jeeps . I’ve had nine of them over the years.
