As some know, my son received a letter of assurance from the Naval Academy in December, but needed a waiver to attend because he is medically disqualified because he is colorblind.
A few days ago the Superintendent of the Naval Academy, Vice Admiral Ted Carter Jr. granted my son a waiver. They grant about ten per year.
Sometime next week, my son will accept his appointment and become a plebe in June.
The waiting for my son and me was horrible.
