NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (WGME) — Police in Arkansas are asking for help finding two suspects who they say shot and killed a native of Westbrook, Maine, as he tried to stop them from robbing a gas station.

Shawn McKeough, a 23-year-old senior airman in the United States Air Force, tried to stop the armed robbery and was fatally shot, according to police.

According to a press release, Senior Airman McKeough is from Westbrook, Maine.

Detectives arrived at the gas station to investigate the incident and learned that two armed suspects entered the gas station in an attempt to rob the business.
