Wow, our weed is about to become more expensive than it already is.
Currently, our weed taxes are:
10% Cannabis Tax + local, provincial and federal... ~13%
May 1, 2019, they want to include a $0.01/mg of THC.
So a cheap $10 gram of weed (the good stuff is 12-15)
$10 + 10% = 11
20% THC (0.01 x 200)= 2
11 + 2 = 13
13 + 13% =
$14.69
for 1 $10gr of weed.
Wow, that is a 46% tax from the base price.
And they want to get rid of the grey/black market??? Hahahaha.
