They love it when people like you say that. You don't even ask what they really found. And that's just fine with them. Cause they don't want to tell you. They're happy when that's what you believe.
Nearly 50 years ago Buzz Aldrin took a core sample from the lunar surface. The core tube penetrated about 8 inches into the lunar soil profile. After pulling out the core tube Aldrin turned it over and looked in the end. He said: "It almost looks wet." Truth of the matter is, it was wet. But back in the Apollo days, NASA didn't want us to know that yet. So they claimed there was no water present in Apollo soil samples.
Astronomer Val Firsoff predicted there would be water and ice in the lunar soil less than a foot down in the 1950's. He was right.
Fast forward 50 years... NASA is detecting water droplets being ejected by the impact of meteorites. They now claim:
"“The lunar surface that’s releasing the water is being protected by a layer – a few centimeters – of dry soil that can only be breached by large micrometeoroids,”says planetary scientist at NASA and the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Mehdi Benna.

It was always there and they always knew it. They're just getting around to telling us now. And you wouldn't even believe what else they haven't told you about. Maybe they tell you one day about the life forms they found there, and that they've been studying ever since.
