[quote:peterpeccary 0:MV80MDM4MV8zMzM0OTI4XzEzN0MzOEJF] I think the programming is what makes us feel depressed during the holidays.....The big family sitting around the table with a picture perfect turkey being carved.....I get along with the family & relatives, but my most memorable holidays were doing something different & alone....hiking, climbing,etc.... I politely decline invitations to big holiday get togethers....people seem to try too hard to fit into that picture perfect script....I know when these events are over, I feel relieved.... You can have a nice alternative holiday.... [/quote]

Three grown kids, living 100īs of miles away, been trying to make friends and cultivate relationships for years, but I have no one to spend the holidays with. Not even going to try this year. Not celebrating anything, probably going to unplug the phone.
Crap.
