[quote:Pooka:MV80MDU3ODQ5XzczNTMwNjc2XzUzOTY4MTNG] [quote:Michael.:MV80MDU3ODQ5XzczNTI2NTEzXzZGRUIxQTAz] OK here is the first reply to my asking those that I know in the Public Health field in the South Pacific. Nothing new but they are not ruling out Ebola yet. BTW I didn't mention Ebola at all in my Email to him. Hello Michael, I only heard that they became ill after a brief visit to Fiji and it seems like they were exposed to some unfamiliar foreign body that their body system are not familiar with. It can be food poisoning, microorganism such as a virus Ebola?? N if that's the case how in the world they got exposed?? I am thinking worse case scenario...but there is further investigation among CDC, & WHO people, before we know something. I am advising my kids to be careful when they go around n not eating out etc...
Thank you so much for this, Michael! Interesting that he mentions ebola whereas you did not. Means people are thinking about it everywhere, not just here. Much appreciation!
The first link I provided is here. There are many, many more links throughout the thread, and the thread has gone far, far beyond the Fiji situation. Please read and learn and contribute as we all prepare for what could be a very bad time in this country. At the same time, let's pray together against ebola becoming epidemic here, so that none of this will be required and we will all remain healthy indefinitely!
Apparently the hospital first closed the ward where the couple died, and separated the five people who were ill after coming in contact with the couple from the rest of the hospital into that ward.
Now we hear the hospital has closed, and more people are ill.
Research if you like - I'd love to know more. This is just a heads-up on the possibilities.
