When i chose a major I listed everything that made the most money. Then i chose the one that was best out of that list. Now i’m retired at 44 with a passive income of $200k. Our lives are a culmination of our decisions. Do you make wise choices?
What choices? Many of us were simply tossed out on the street at 18, and college was only paid for so they could count us as dependents. There was no preparation, and no choice was allowed. My late boyfriend starved at his college for two weeks before he could finally get a work study job and have some food. Since the work study program would let cafeteria workers have all the soda they wanted but no food,he drank soda till he passed out cold on the floor.Shortly after he would develop diabetes. Be glad you had choices, instead of just being homeless at college. Some kids without choices were dead far too young
Two-thirds of employees report regrets about their advanced degrees, as Americans question the high cost of higher education.
Student loan debt has ballooned to nearly $1.6 trillion nationwide in 2019, topping the list of regrets for employees.
Science, technology, engineering or math majors, who are more likely to enjoy higher salaries, were least likely to report regrets, while those in the humanities were most likely.
