A few years ago I got a notice from the US government that they would pay for me to get identity theft protection because the Office of Personnel" systems were hacked. I worked on FAA contracts 1999-2003.

All reports said that China was behind this. While I don't think China was interested in identity theft, but used the info to know who to buy off to serve China's interest from within the federal government.

All this BS about Russia when China is 1000 times the threat to the US is using Russia as a distraction.

My bet is, this telecom hack is to get leverage(blackmail info) on those (deep state)officials they couldn't buy off

How's that for a conspiracy theory?
