[quote:Anonymous Coward 25486633:MV80MDgzMTAxXzkzNzcwNjQ0XzcyOTNCNTAz] [quote:Anonymous Coward 73823503:MV80MDgzMTAxXzc0MDY0MDMyX0FGMTY1OEEw] If you miss those beautiful white sand beaches, take your next vacation in beautiful Orange Beach or Gulf Shores AL. I’ll never enter the state of Florida again, for any reason. And you have your whistling singing dope planting deputy to thank for that.
This is the tip of a very ugly iceberg. Stuff like this has been going on in Florida for decades. A contributing factor has been that for years past, the standards for cops in Florida were the lowest out of all 50 states, and their pay scale was the same. However, it’s not just Florida. The entire Southeast is like this; Mayberry it ain’t. My experience has also been that anywhere Southerners have migrated and become cops has this going on - Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Southern California - all seem to have the redneck, “suvvern”, fat-bellied, bribe-taking, dope-planting local sheriff vibe going on. This seems to be the case now for most rural areas in the East; the cops in my small NJ town, as well as smaller towns in the surrounding area, are for the most part about the most professional, decent peace officers you’d ever care to meet; they’re exemplary. Go 30-odd miles west into rural PA, or into the hinterlands of upstate NY or southern NJ, and it’s a different story.
Did you know that it is not illegal for cops to lie about evidence in the United States, as long as they are not under oath?
A search of his name shows this has been going on for while now.
