i've been tv-free for more than a decade, and i love it! when i used to have one, it was almost an automatic response to come home and plant myself in front of it, even though there was mostly just bullshit showing.
ok, i have a computer (obviously) and can watch things on my laptop, if i want to. but, i don't have any network television access, and i really like it this way.
it has allowed me a lot more time for things like reading or doing things that seem a lot more beneficial for me than zoning out in front of a propaganda box...
it also seems that not having a tv has allowed me to see through a lot more of the bullshit and "programming".
i would assume, since this is glp, that i'm not alone. how many of you threw away your tv? and, if so, what are the positives you've encountered? negatives?
if you still have a tv (or many), i don't hold it against you. you're free to chime in to.
cheers
