[quote:Anonymous Coward 76725771:MV80MDk0ODM4Xzc0MjUyNjIxXzFDQTg1MDlB] [quote:0000001:MV80MDk0ODM4Xzc0MjUyNTQzX0E2QkEyODY5] And the moon rocks And the footage And the technology to get through the belts :epiclol:
They've not lost the Lunar Samples, and the same people have been caring for and sending out samples for the last 38 years. They're stored in two different places now, no longer held in vacuum now, but then, that ship sailed long ago when it was found that soil from the flight crews over gloves causes scratching of the SRC lid seals, letting some oxygen in. They did misplace the Slow scan tape, and they've been upfront about that. Ah the Belts ... The flight crews did NOT go through the center of the belts but rather, skirted the areas of lower density. it's also been shown, time and time again, that Alum shell and plastic and phenolic resin ablative coatings actually resisted the majority of cislunar radiation. Then again, you're not going to hear that from "Billy Bob's house of Van Allen Belt Schooling"
