Ristvan, I love your expertise, but how do we get around the DC area jury problem? IMHO we’re sort of stuck with the process being the punishment and negotiating guilty pleas to much lesser offenses than those that could be charged.

As the lurking jailhouse lawyer who’s actually committed, been charged with, prosecuted for and done time for a variety of crimes, felonies and one federal offence, as well as numerous misdemeanors, I concur.

Committing crimes is like sitting down at blackjack, placing a 5$ bet, being dealt a blackjack hand (and so winning) and concluding “Wow! This is EASY! By the end of the night, I’m going to OWN this place!”

And of coarse, the odds catch up with you. Same with crime, if you engage in a consistent pattrrn of criminal behavior, you begin to think you are invincible. Eventual, the House wins, and you end up in the Big House.

As for Juries, best answer is no trial, hence no jury. Develop such a compelling airtight case, and with such significant penalties if they lose, that the,Defendants only lawyer is recomending they cop a plea.

Conspiracy has that potential, as each affirmative action to further the conspiracy is a seperate criminal act, and each of the primary players committed dozens of individual acts, on several different conspiracies.

As for getting the evidence, the only evidence we KNOW of, that was actually ‘destroyed’ was the page/stroxz texts, from the time they worked for weisman.

ALL the rest, we KNOW exists; it can and has been shielded by hiding behind “classified”, or simply hiding, like the memo from the State dept.

Notice, they didn’t DESTROY it, just HID it. Cause they CAN’T, its the way the buerocracy works.

And, while they can try to play “keep away” with Durham/Barr, thats only a delay.

I maintain A) “WE” don’t WANT trials.
They would further divide the nation.
Especially “WE” don’t want trials before the election. Would stomp all over our message, and help Dems “muh political retribution!”
“WE” want GUILTY PLEAS, with allocution, and after election may be better than before, for reasons above.

B) There is ONE thing, FAR WORSE than no prosecutions. A trial, and a verdict of “Not Guilty”. THAT might well tear the nation apart. It would certainly solidify permanently TDS in a significant portion of our populace.

You don’t have to look that hard, to find people who will argue O.J. didn’t kill anyone, even today which makes my point.

Again referencing McCabe’s own admissions, also on Friday May 12th McCabe met with DAG Rod Rosenstein to discuss the issues, referencing the criminal ‘obstruction’ case McCabe had opened just two days before. According to McCabe:

… “[Rosenstein] asked for my thoughts about whether we needed a special counsel to oversee the Russia case. I said I thought it would help the investigation’s credibility. Later that day, I went to see Rosenstein again. This is the gist of what I said: I feel strongly that the investigation would be best served by having a special counsel.” (link)

According to Andy Biggs questioning of Mueller, on this same day – Friday May 12th – evidence shows Robert Mueller met “in person” with Rod Rosenstein.

♦On Saturday May 13th, 2017, another meeting between Rod Rosenstein and Robert Mueller, this time with Jeff Sessions also involved. [Per Andy Biggs]

♦After the weekend, Monday May 15th, McCabe states he and Rosenstein conferred again about the Special Counsel approach. McCabe: “I brought the matter up with him again after the weekend.”

♦On Tuesday May 16th, 2017, Rod Rosenstein takes Robert Mueller to the White House for a meeting in the oval office between President Trump, VP Pence, Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein.
