Though Epstein had been a level three registered sex offender in New York since 2010, the New York Police Department never enforced the 90-day regulation, though non-compliance is a felony" Wonder who that Manhattan DA was - will have to look that up. So for the longest time, they had NO INTEREST in Epstein's activities. WHAT CHANGED? And why are they only looking at 2002-2005? Isn't there a STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS?
Read what I posted above.....seems like Barr and Sasse had a mission to open it back up Was it Preet Bharara, is that why Trump canned him?
It can get confusing because there are too many of these legal assholes but the prize goes to....CYRUS VANCE JR. Vance was sworn into office as the Manhattan District Attorney on January 1, 2010. Within a few months, he established or consolidated numerous new bureaus and units in an effort to modernize the District Attorney's Office. FROM WIKIPEDIA I did not notice any reference to his attempt at leniency for Epstein.....
CBS News has learned that the morning of Jeffrey Epstein's death there was shouting and shrieking from his jail cell.
Guards attempted to revive him while saying "breathe, Epstein, breathe."
CBS News has learned that Epstein's estranged brother Mark was called and he identified Epstein's body.
The New York City Medical Examiner's office has performed an autopsy, but the results are still pending.
In an interview with our West Palm Beach affiliate WPEC, a former Florida corrections worker said Epstein was "treated like a celebrity" during his 13-month stint in a county jail after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution.
She claims his cell was regularly left unlocked and she saw him move freely through the dormitory area – sometimes completely naked – without repercussions.
