I still have Windows 7 on my main computer but wanted to check out Linux on my laptop. So far, I'm really pleased with the look and feel. I'm amazed with how many apps are available and pre-installed. I didn't need to download any drivers. For example, I have a 6 year old Toshiba laptop and the USB 3.0 slot would never work under a Windows install. I would always have to go to the Toshiba site and download the driver. Not with Linux..it worked perfectly after the fresh install. I'll keep poking around but this has some serious potential to be my main OS going forward. Installing updates now..there are quite a few of them. :5a:
YES IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN MS , DONT KNOW HOW THEY STILL SURVIVE! I AM USING LMDE Linux (LINUX MINT DEBIAN EDITION) WITH MATE DESKTOP. NUMBER! in my book!
