They said if you go to vote -Make sure you bring 2 pieces of valid ID like a driver’s license and a passport. WTF. We don’t do that because it racist or something. How can Canada get away with demanding people prove they are really eligible to vote?
I'm leaving to vote soon. I am going to take my expired driver's license and voter card and see if I'm allowed to vote. I will take the new one and passport just in case. I'll report back.
You'll be fine with the passport. I'm off in a few minutes too.
Your passport has no proof of address, so you should bring your voter's notice or driver's license as well.
The link provided says that only 1 piece of ID is required - your drivers license. If you have that you can vote. Funny - illegals, immigrants and non-citizens can have a drivers license, so having this does not prove you are a citizen, but according to the Government link, that's all you need.
170 SEATS NEEDED TO FORM A MAJORITY
The Liberals remain in a close national race in public support with the Conservatives but are favored to win the most seats, though probably not another majority government. The New Democrats and Bloc Québécois, after making significant gains in the polls, appear to be hitting a ceiling — but could hold the balance of power in a minority parliament.

People are asking about ID:
I misplaced my wallet and couldn't bring my driver's license or Identity card. So I used my election card, a passport and a birth certificate for ID.
They accepted that no problem.
