Original Message Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio had high praise for teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, calling in her "leader of our time."

The 44-year-old actor posted a picture of him and Thunberg Friday with the caption reading "There are few times in human history where voices are amplified at such pivotal moments and in such transformational ways – but Greta Thunberg has become a leader of our time."

DiCaprio also said in the post that he hopes the Swedish teen's activism is "a wake-up call to world leaders everywhere."

Earlier in the week, Thunberg won the Nordic Council's top environmental award, but turned it down, saying the climate movement does not need any more prizes."
