I had a 56k modem and ISDN was a luxury.
The cell phone I had was a flip phone, but it only opened up to an LED window for dialing the number. No texting or anything of that fancy nature.
Even worse, no wireless anything as far as the internet was concerned. You were tying up the phone line in the house if you didn't have a second number too.
Yeah, modern progress... but the late 1900's were difficult!
