Original Message Jesus. At least give us a line or 2 telling us why that old fart survived. Say something like "Oh about that. I fell off the elevator shaft and somehow caught a flag pole. Then something exploded which bounced me directly into a cockpit of a tie fighter. So I just flew that tie fighter out of the exploding death star and survived."

And he did not explain why Rey is his grand daughter either. I mean at least say soething like "Rey, you are my son's third wife's 2nd daughter."

You just see emperor Palpatine sitting there looking as young and health as he appeared in Return of the Jedi. This is just as ridiculous as how they killed John Conner in Terminator Dark Fait.
