Original Message Pretty amazing when over 75 percent of the country only gets $7.25 an hour, so sometimes Liberals are good.

The Massachusetts minimum wage will increase from $12 to $12.75 an hour on Jan. 1, a step toward raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2023.

The Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center estimates that 420,600 workers will get a raise under the new law, many of them working in food service and retail.

“We see folks that have not been included in our economy in ways we should all be are going to benefit from this,” said Marie-Frances Rivera, president of the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center, a liberal-leaning think tank.
