I have no idea.

With Trump releasing his strange statements about corona virus being no biggie, we are good, etc....it COULD be that he is simply trying to keep the markets from totally tanking. But that is not in line with who he has been so far as President.

Does he know something we don't about this virus? That was the big question I took away from what he is saying. Because with the logical working through of the facts, this virus has to have been spreading in the US for months. Yet we only have 500 tests?

One could almost get to a point of believing that this WAS a bio attack on the Chinese from the US, that we triggered it to go full lethal in Wuhan....and that he knows this and so really is trying to calm us.

Or equally plausible that the Russians released it in the vicinity of a known bio-engineering lab to crash the Chinese economy.

I'd say Trump is using history to predict the likely outcome.  Maybe a bit of Occams Razor as well.

Which is more likely (based on recent history of ebola/swine flu/bird flu/flu flu):

Global pandemic where tens if not hundreds of millions of people die.

The virus spreads around, kills a couple hundred or thousand (most being elderly/young/immuno compromised) then drops down to background levels below that of the regular flu.

Original Message I am going to assume that there is not a coordinated effort between China, S Korea, Iran, Italy, etc, to create a hoax scare and that this is indeed a real virus. Many solid sources have claimed that China has vastly under reported the fatality and spread, and that millions in China are infected and tens of thousands, if not more, have died over the last two months.

Logic dictates that this started with either one, or a few, people spreading it in Wuhan, either on purpose or without knowing it. The people they spread it to than began spreading it to other for 14-24 days without knowing it. Within two weeks it was spread all around Wuhan and other parts of China and people were dying.

This really got noticed and got going in November. That means that for weeks before that, people from Wuhan with no idea they had this were flying places, likely some came here and infected others in the US.

That would mean this virus has to have been spreading here for at least a month or two. Yet we are not seeing massive deaths, people dying while having violent seizures, people falling over in the streets. Etc.

So was have to assume that there is a component to this we do not know about. IS it triggered by some kind of electronic signal? Is it more inclined to cause death due to asian genetic factors? It would seem that there has to be something built in to the virus that has not yet been activated in the US.

Is this being released and activated at set times to cause panic?

There is something here being missed.
