The plague was relentless and killed millions of children also. So I would have to disagree.
That’s basically what he said in the post bro! (if you even read it) Tech, medical advancements, precautions (antibiotics) make it less severe today. But compare both side by side, eras and generations aside, winner by knockout = Corona Virus
BS The Black Death virus, whatever it was, was a nightmare FAR more lethal. It killed at least 50%. This Wuflu puts about 5% into ICU.
The population was smaller, majority of people lived like shit in highly unhygienic conditions, little health education, lack of meds and tech, don’t forget the rise of trade and travel by ship, contaminated rodents from everywhere, it’s bound to happen... just look at what the Spanish did the natives of the new world. Like I said, take tech out, take populations and timelines away. Just compare the viruses itself, clear winner Corona Virus by landslide
Because people lived in unsanitary conditions, didn’t have high technology and today’s advanced medical measures and precautions, millions of people died, a great chunk of the population vanished.
If that type of plague hit the planet today, it would only be akin to the common cold, low-lever strain of flu or bacterial fungus that can be cured easily with over the counter meds.
If the Corona virus presented itself in the 1300s, way more people would have perished, almost to the brink of human extinction.
Even then, we’re still prevailing... It’ll be over soon guys!
