Yet it’s easier for us cause I’ve always been home with them since youngest was born. Husband spent majority of their younger years overnights so he could see them while they were awake. Even when they were in school, I was always doing some type of volunteer work or them needing something from home. Carpooling them and their friends etc. Enjoying the break from carpooling teens around. Ideas for parents with littles Plastic Kiddie pool filled with plastic ballpit balls. Indoor make your own forts Holiday coloring pages Starfall.com, it’s free PreK-2nd Have mandatory quiet time twice a day. 2 hours before bedtime and 2 hours in the afternoon Play dough Backyard red light green light Play kitchen restaurant Disney soundtrack songs Run through the sprinklers Dressup Tweens/Teens Cooking Baking Read Book classics Read financial books Read books and watch the movie made from those books and compare Practice writing checks and budgeting skills Host movie nights Create a song list and share it Household chores Gardening Car Maintenance Menu plan Drawing/Painting Sewing Animal care
Good ideas. And yes the quiet time is important for everyone.
I know we are! Never realized just how exhausting this all was? Kids used to spend alot of their energy at school. Now zero breaks for us parents!!
