Remember back in the day when computers and the internet was just something for geeks, outcasts and losers?
Same thing with video games, comic books, anime and foreign documentaries/movies. No normie ever dared step into this realm, especially a recreational past time.
Staying locked in your home, whether it was a bedroom or basement, became one of the last few pleasures where people like us could enjoy. Nobody understood it, but the fruits of our passion grew and evolved in isolation. A great way to cope and learn about the madness of this world, learn to look at things objectively.
But now even lockdown and basement dwelling is being taken over by stupid normies. Now it’s being normalized, memes are being made out of it (oh, remember when memes was just an underground online geek thing too?), hashtags and selfies going viral everywhere! WTF! This is our thing! And it’s being taken away from us!
Even GLP is being overrun by normies now (actually started a few years back), it’s no longer the niche place that was only understood by people like us. And now even this medium has been ransacked by celebrities and influencers. Fucking normies! Taken over everything!
“Quarantine and Chill”, “Lockdown and binge”, Fuck that! We were doing that long before it was “cool.” You assholes didn’t make it popular.
