I’ve heard this mentioned before. What is the relevance to a flip phone? Matt Hancock is going on about the App as we speak in the U.K. presser.
The old fashioned flip phones do not have apps. You can't download an app on them. Some of the real old ones, don't have GPS, either. The apps are for smart phones, not dinosaur phones. Sometimes the latest and greatest in tech and convenience can make your life more miserable than simple things.
Oh, you refer to ‘old mobiles’. Yes. I’ve mad my fair share of those. In fact my first had a pull up aerial.
They are sturdy ! I dropped mine hundreds of times, and they really hold together ! I got one very old one with a pull up antennae that I keep on the side, just in case, besides the "newer" flip phone.
NHS APP

Lord Evans, former head of MI5, said the app would be key to combatting the pandemic, but warned it was a “severe intrusion into personal privacy”.

It would be interesting for us to keep an eye on the
development of these App’s being produced for
numerous Governments.
Here is an initial link that is very interesting. If anyone
can add any details it would be of great use.
The authorities will be keeping a very close eye on ‘chatter’
with regard to gauging public opinion & that will have a
huge impact on just how intrusive these App’s will be.
Currently the talk is about these Apps’s giving permissions
to ABSOLUTELY everything we wish to have kept private.
For example, Browser History, Contact Lists, Messaging, etc.
David Davis MP has been outraged about details that
WE HAVEN’T SEEN as this App in the U.K. requires you to
have your LOCATION SERVICES switched ON in addition to
the intrusive access this App has to our personal details.

Please add to this but if anyone has any idea of how to obtain
the development details &
‘PERMISSIONS’ for these App’s
then please post them on this thread!!
These App’s are being designated ‘HEALTH SERVICE’ App’s
in the attempt that the health services already hold our
data & therefore are not a ‘step too far’.
*****THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THIS APP WILL BE USED*********
**********AS A PRETEXT TO RELAXING LOCKDOWN ************
**********AND WE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE IT*************
***********ACTIVATED IN ORDER FOR MOVEMENT*************
The data will be stored through this crisis but we are promised that
the data will be deleted once this pandemic is over.
Current info being discussed on LBC is very worrying.
