TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – On Sunday, Florida’s health department confirmed 45,588 cases of COVID-19 in the state, with 1,973 deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus.
It’s an increase of 777 cases and nine deaths over the past 24 hours, and 98 deaths reported since Thursday.
In total, Miami-Dade has 15,658 cases of COVID-19 with 561 deaths, the highest numbers in the state.
Miami-Dade and Broward will join the first stage of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ reopening plan on Monday, which includes the opportunity to open non-essential businesses.
