[quote:Dutchy20:MV80NDc5ODAxXzgxNjEzODEzX0VEOUNFQzkx] [quote:Anonymous Coward 78260614:MV80NDc5ODAxXzgxNjEyOTczXzJCODQ2NDU=] (@MaxChesnes) Florida adds 7,686 new #COVID19 cases today and 180 deaths. Percent positivity of new cases for August 6 was back in the double digits, at 10.12% https://twitter.com/angell_lyn/status/1291771447002701824 Taking into account the testing sites were shut in Florida for a few days for the storm, I reckon their case numbers would otherwise be stable, not falling slightly like they have been. Dutchy, this person speaks of 19.4% positivity rate for Florida. Are you able to shed some light on this, is that the number when excluding the antibody tests? https://twitter.com/ThisWasMash/status/1291766993297833984
Yeah what they say on their main site and on the dashboard differs. I only use the dashboard numbers but those haven't updated for the day (about 3 hours late already). Overall most states are chasing a <10% positive rate as per federal guidelines. Only people that test positive for a PCR test are officially cases but they still count antigen/antibody tests for their total tests. Where possible I calculate the same way as https://covidtracking.com/data , only PCR tests where Pos% = (Positive cases / Total PCR tests) where possible doing so per 24hr interval. Lowest Florida has reached this month is 15%.
