[quote:Anonymous Coward 78049529:MV80NjMwNDc2Xzg0MzMzNjM2XzI1MzlDREZC] Traditionally, Saturnalia week marks the last big hurrah before the long, bleak winter. So it was then, and perhaps even today. It's dark season from now till crossquarter in February when we start to get a real upswing toward spring. However, it is at this very darkest hour when the world is filled with Saturnine cares, worries, and regrets and tries to ward them away with many distractions that the light shines on those who sit in darkness. Saturn had nothing to do with the Jupiter stationary transit in Aries of Dec. 17th, 6 BC (the real Star of Bethlehem).
This transit is in Saturn's own domicile, and Jupiter (the king star) is severely weakened in such an alignment.
It doesn't portend the birth of a kingdom, but it does mark the fall of one.
