Original Message Lake Mead's water level is currently 1072.11 feet. Deadpool is 895 feet, a level at which no hydroelectric power can be generated.

In May it dropped 6.16 feet to below 1075 feet, a point which will induce water restrictions for Arizona.
Once it hits 1045 feet California will be mandated for certain water restrictions.

Likely farmers first.. which is kinda crazy considering - food!

At a 6 foot drop per month it would be around 1048 feet by the first week of October.
They had originally, early in 2021, said that they expected the water level to drop below 1075 in August this year but it happened last month in May. Seems like they are hoping for the best in a 22-year megadrought scenario - only 5 of those 22 years have been considered wet years.

On a side note, for Ammon Bundy fans.. he is running for Governor in the state of Idaho in 2022 and has inserted himself in a developing drought matter that could turn serious along the California-Oregon border on the lower Klamath river.
