Those are not older fixable engines, they are recent electroshit.
But even if all the auto salvage yards had motor pool level trucks like what could be easily fixed and used in times of invasion to move civilians to battle spots, the point is that people's value judgements are all fucked up, and even the notion of having a working fixable 4x4 truck for a future battle is preposterous to the average dumbfuck.
American values have been ruined by the left and engineers, we are ripe for some severe bloodletting.

And the old cars, that can't be remotely turned off, got crushed. In fact, ALL the parts, of the cars turned in, had to be destroyed! The engines drained of oil, coolant drained, and they ran the engines full throttle until they blew up.

They wanted to get rid of the vehicles that they couldn't turn off...

When the time is right, and all the Pieces are in place, they're gonna flip a switch, and nobody's going anywhere... They thought of everything!
