[quote:More Eccentric Than Thou 0:MV80OTAyOV8yNTA2MTcyX0I1RkI0MEVF] Triple Agent - a movie only Agent provocateurs would like. His films are big on talking and short on action. So why has Eric Rohmer made a spy movie? Stuart Jeffries meets the French director When Eric Rohmer released The Lady and the Duke three years ago, French critics hated it so much they suggested he ought to be guillotined. He had committed the unpardonable sin of portraying French revolutionaries as brutal, drunken oafs, and the bouffanted aristos as noble agitators for justice. Two years on, Rohmer has released another period drama, set this time among White Russian émigré spies in the pre-war political turmoil of Paris in 1936. Triple Agent is not, on the face of it, a film likely to win over sceptical critics. "It is by far the most verbose of my films," he says proudly as he reclines in his Paris office. Me - I like tap dancing movies but here is something of interest for the people here. [/quote]

I´ve heard that the English Patient and Pearl Harbor are among the overrated ones, but I´ve never watched those. Of the movies I´ve seen, I think Fatal Attraction was way overrated; to me, it was just a horror movie. It seems like in recent years, horror movies about psychopaths, such as Silence of the Lambs, get a lot of hype. I guess it all depends on who is stroking who in Hollywood.
