Don't be a trigger tard, no where near everyone in this thread thinks the flank will go. The volcano is erupting. Many lives have been affected, from losing their homes, to ash falling. Air travel has been suspended. Were you hoping for the tsunami or something? Kinda gross to hope for that, don't you think?
Thats what insurance is for. Bad shit happens. Still better than being dead, which, if anyone posted on the conditions throughout the world (massive food shortages, tribal warfare, etc.) it would take precedence. You know as well as I that this thread was started in the hopes that a tsunami becomes the end result...
There are several of us watching this thread because we have loved ones in harms way should this particular bad shit happen. WE MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT HOPE FOR A TSUNAMI. I am forever grateful to mister pillarr for starting it and for everyone who has given so much of their time and gifts to keep it going and keep us informed.
Cumbre Vieja volcano or Cumbre Vieja volcanic ridge is area on La Palma Island (Canary Islands) .Potential eq swarm and eruption could trigger landslide causing widespread tsunami on Atlantic Ocean!
Update 16 th September
Deformation up to 10 cm is reported .Quakes are increasing in size and amount again.Looks like harmonic tremor is happening!
Update late 17 th September Polish Time
We are in phase of low frequency microtremors/microquakes like yesterday
Update:
People felt the eruption coming
Neighbors of La Palma "felt a noise for days". Luis Alberto Rodríguez García is Head of Engineering Operations at the Gran Telescopio Canario, in the Roque de los Muchachos de La Palma. He tells us that for days he had sounded like a vibration in his ear. And what has happened to more people. Today he is at home watching the lava run down the hillside and across the roads.
