Original Message I spend a lot of time shopping on line. I try very hard to find the best prices on everything I buy. I go to pretty much every retail outlet that sells the product I'm looking for.

As an example, I was looking for a hooded flannel shirt for a child. I checked everyplace and pretty much the lowest price is $17.

Some slightly more, but none less.

That's the thing, if pricing was actually competitive there would be a range of prices, but there never is.

Every store, and I'm talking maybe 10 or more stores, is charging almost the exact same amount give or take a few cents.

There are two explanations, either the stores are colluding to fix the prices, or there is only ONE store.

I'm thinking it's the latter. I think there is ONE COMPLANY STORE OWNED AND OPERATED BY A BRANCH OF THE US GOVERNMENT.

The store sets the prices and that's what you pay, take it or leave it.

Socialism...not capitalism.
