Just installed a Moen Adler shower mixing valve along with the spout and shower head. Turned on the water supply to the house and then opened the bath tub water and only a slight trickle of water came out. Figured it was one of three problems. 1) Clog in the cold water line. 2). Since the hot water line isn't turned on, I figured there might be back pressure going into the hot water lines, thus not allowing the cold water to flow (doubtful). 3). Bad mixing valve cartridge.
I changed out the mixing valve cartridge and nada. I'm doubtful the cold water is flowing into the hot water lines so the only option I can figure out is a restriction in the mixing valve.
Thus, I'm at a loss. Anybody have a reasonable fix for this situation? I'd appreciate your help.
