It is also very much possible that the current pause of the eruption leads to a blockage of the upper conduits, which disables the degassing process and generates conditions that could lead to sudden explosions and allowing probably smaller batches of remaining magma to erupt in short phases of re-activation. Nobody knows for now - the situation remains volatile and care should be taken to make any predictions of whether activity will resume or not." https://www.volcanodiscovery.com/de/la-palma/news/159534/La-Palma-volcano-update-No-new-activity-pause-of-eruption-or-end.html [/quote] Look at the history of krakatoa. It stopped erupting. Then it exploded into the history books. This is actually the time to be worried. Don't lose your focus yet. Now also watching Sao Jorge Island in the Azores for quake swarms & possible magma movement.
OFFICIAL VOLCANIC ALERT: The Seismovolcanic Surveillance and Information Center of the #Azores (CIVISA) today raised the volcanic alert level on the island from #SãoJorge to V4 (out of a total of five), which means " real chance of #erupción "
